Those VGA-output Gonbes boards work great for stuffing Grandma's Shitty Square Dell Computer Screen into a Robotron, but not necessarily a large flatscreen TV into a Crusin' World. IDK if you can post links so here is the exact name of the board im usingĪtomic Market VGA/RGB/CGA/EGA/YUV to HDMI Video Output Converter Board HD for Arcade BlueĪt least there's an HDMI one out now. Why in the world done one machine, same TV, same convertor, same wiring, act perfect and one do this? Now here is the weird thing, ALL the settings i put into the convertor are all still set the same!!!!! SOOOOO in other words every time i power it up i have to mess with the screen and the settings are a tad different every time. The other machine every time i power it up i have to reset the screen settings, the picture is off to the right and down every time i power it up. monitor settings save and every time it turns on it looks the same and works. I then set them up on the screen, set then both to 3 and 4 so there was no red out and black screen, and all works great. the 5 Posts on the Board i connected the 5 wires that were to the old monitor. In the meantime the monitors went out so i bought the HDMI convertor off amazon for $50.00. Im currently waiting on the 2.4 V for both so i can have the same Versions so i can link them One is 1.3 and one is 2.0. How can I connect HDMI output from my Sony Vaio laptop to display on my HDTV which has RCA (Composite), and DVI inputOk you guys have been a huge help so far and hopefully once again you all will be! LCD TV when play some time it got automatically flickering also detect horizontal lining up and down.

Would a DP-to-HDMI cable fix the problem? Is there a way to use the VGA cable and still achieve full screen display? I want to use all of the TV real estate instead of a partial area. I tried changing color settings on the TV with no ultimate satisfaction. I was able to use a higher resolution with no black stripes, but then colors were all washed out. Note that the laptop has VGA, HDMI, and DisplayPort outputs. I have tried everything I can think of but came up empty handed. The operating system will let me increase my resolution, but the TV will output a "mode not supported" message. I have several different screen resolution options on Windows, but only 1024x768 works. I want to get rid of those so that the laptop screen covers the entire TV area.
I have connected my laptop to the TV via VGA channel, but for some reason the laptop screen is centered on the TV with wide vertical black stripes. Hopefully this is the right place to ask for suggestions.
